The Miller is on the wing from June to August.

Comes to light.

Larval Food plants
The distinctive caterpillar is pale green, covered with extremely long white hairs.

The larvae feed on Birch (Betula) and other deciduous trees.

Habitat Requirements
Woodlands and heathland over the majority of Britain although it tends to be commoner in the south. Also occurs in suburban gardens where the larval foodplant occurs.
