Notes

The site looks good again after being bought by the Foxcote Estate and cleared of scrub and bramble. They will be managing it again as sheep pasture with an eye at improving the floral diversity on site for the benefit of villagers. Already a good calcareous flora is present including abundant Wild Thyme, Birdsfoot-trefoil, Lady's Bedstraw, Hoary Plantain, Salad Burnet, Rough Hawkbit etc. The above survey was done under windy and cool conditions and probably does not reflect the potential. Definitely a site to watch!
