Butterfly Conservation partnerships continue
Following the successful restoration of grassland habitat at Long Itchington and Draycote Village embankment, Sustrans have erected a series of interpretation boards designed by Jacqui Bricknell highlighting the importance of these sites for some of our key butterfly species.
Butterfly Conservation Warwickshire and Sustrans hope to see the Dingy and Grizzled Skipper colonize these restored areas soon. The Small Blue butterfly is also expected to colonize long Itchington in the next couple of years.
So when visiting, keep your eyes peeled. You may be the first person to record them on these restored grassland sites.
