Butterfly Conservation Europe

Butterflies and moths are declining seriously in most countries across Europe. Action is needed urgently at a European level to halt their decline and restore a countryside rich in butterflies, moths and other wildlife. Organisations and friends in various countries across Europe have therefore come together to form Butterfly Conservation Europe:

European Interest Group

The European Interests Group is a member-based organisation within Butterfly Conservation. It aims to promote conservation work, encourage recording in Europe and work with partner organisations to lobby European governments. The group was established in March 2007:

UK Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (UKBMS)

The UK Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (UKBMS) is formed from a merger of the long-running Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (BMS) with Butterfly Conservation's co-ordination of 'independent' transects:
