Here's just a few key sites in the Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull area which are important for butterflies and moths. Some sites provide the opportunity to see a wide variety of species while other sites are important as thay hold colonies of key species which are rare or localised in distribution in our area.

Harbury Spoilbank Nature Reserve Warwickshire Wildlife Trust SSSI

Butterfly Species: Grizzled Skipper, Dingy Skipper, Green Hairstreak, Marbled White, White-letter Hairstreak, plus occassional Wall Brown. Kidney Vetch has been planted in an attempt to encourage the return of the Small Blue to the site.

Wood White and Dark Green Fritillary are now extinct on this site.
