Common sense is key to an enjoyable time. Wear strong walking boots to protect your feet, bring waterproof clothing, and make sure you drink plenty of water. Sunblock is advisable when attending a butterfly walk, warm clothing is required on moth nights.

If you have any medical conditions, please make sure that the event leader is aware of this.

Children under 16 are welcome to attend all of our events but they should be attended by a responsible adult.

If you intend to leave an event early, please let the leader know.

Butterfly Walks
Various field trips take place throughout the year including organised butterfly walks to important sites in our region and beyond. Our trips provide members and the general public with a chance to meet experts and learn about different species and their habitats. They're also ideal for making new friends and can provide various levels of exercise.

Moth Nights
Late night starts and early morning finishes are a key feature of the moth trapping team's activities, especially in the summer. Why not attend one of our organised moth nights where you can find out more about our moths from the experts. You do not need to stay till 4am in the morning!

Impromptu moth trapping sessions are held throughout the winter months when weather permits. Contact Nigel Stone (Micro Moth Recorder) on 024 7633 5189 for further information.

Conservation and Site Management Work Parties
Why not volunteer some of your time to help us with habitat management. Regular work parties take place throughout the year.

Weekly Work Party (Every Sunday - 10am)
Why not try your hand at helping look after our Ryton Meadow Butterfly Reserve and Ryton Wood Warwickshire Wildlife Trust Reserve.
Meet 10am at reserve car park (Grid Ref: SP385 727) off A423, Oxford Road, Ryton on Dunsmore. Please contact Mike Slater before attending.

Warwickshire Branch Meetings and AGM
Members are welcome at our annual AGM and other branch meetings such as our Spring Meeting which include an overview of the year's activities, quizzes, raffles and refreshments. These events take place at a variety of locations across our region.

Branch meetings are also a great opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts and meet members of the Committee. The Committee also hold regular meetings throughout the year.

Butterfly Conservation National AGM
This annual event brings full and part-time staff from Butterfly Conservation along with volunteers and members of the various branches across the UK together in order to share information and catch up on the curret status of our butterflies and moths across the UK.

National Events
There are several National Events which take place across the UK in order to promote butterflies and moths to the wider public. Organised by Butterfly Conservation and their partners, we (the Warwickshire Branch of Butterfly Conservation) are also actively involved in these events.
